Honduras Solidarity Network is sharing a letter from former Peace Corps volunteers to Honduras to Vice President Harris that urges the US to stop funding militarization and supporting corruption, to consult with and listen to the Honduran people including its indigenous and poor communities and not to continue development and security policies that only deepen the crisis and do not address the root causes nor the real immediate needs of the people in Honduras. The signers also support the three Honduran human rights and anti-corruption bills being introduced in the US Senate and House of Representative.
